Figs crumble and persimmon cream

Dried or fresh figs are a great source of fibre, rich in minerals and in B6 and K vitamins.

Persimmons help boost immunity thanks to the vitamin C, manganese, copper, magnesium and potassium.

At KidzCooking we make cooking fun for kids. At our Birthday Party Workshops, Cooking Classes and Events, children develop valuable communication and motor skills, while at the same time they learn a lot about food. Fruit crumble (seasonal fruits such as fresh figs or kaki persimmon)

Crumble Ingredients

100 gr Almond powder

100 gr Flour

100 gr of Soft Butter

Mix the flour and the almond powder, add the butter in small pieces, knead the crumble by hand between the fingers

Cut persimmons or other fruits (2-3 pieces) in slices. Melt 25g butter then add the persimmons, let it lightly brown, put the sugar on top, cook everything but not completely.

Crumble assembly: Put the persimmons mixture in the bottom of the mold

Put on top the crumble without crushing it, let air in.

Bake at 170 ° C – 200 ° C for 15 to 17 minutes (medium brown)

For a persimmon cream, cut the fruits into pieces, mix them with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice in the blender, pour into a bowl and add 100ml of cream, whisk till obtain the cream.
