Natural food dyes are derived from fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices. Let’s try some of them: blueberries, carrots, curcuma, beets…when baking and icing Halloween designed monster whoopies.

150 g of flour
100 g of sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of baking powder
orange zest
For the filling :
4 « Petits suisses » /jogurts
100ml of red beet bio juice Delhaize
100g of blackberries
100g of blueberries

Icing : 100 g of icing sugar, around 50 ml of carrot bio juice Delhaize and a little of curcuma

Mix 2 eggs with sugar until the mixture is white, add orange zest, then flour with baking powder. When the mixture is uniform, form small rounds from the dough on the baking paper and bake 12 minutes at 180°C.
For the filling: mix blackberries and blueberries with red beet juice and add to the “petit suisse” yogurts. Prepare icing from 100g of icing sugar and a little carrot juice, you can add a small amount of curcuma. Another option is to use the red beet juice and icing sugar to obtain a nice red color icing, then add mashed blueberries and blackberries to the “petits suisse” mixture to obtain the filling for the whoopies.
