Cookies Saint Nicholas with homemade marzipan.
140g of flour
100g of frangipane
50g sliced almonds
130g of brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 yeast sachet
Make marzipan: to 150g of melted butter, add 150g of sugar and 150g of almond powder, after add 2 whole eggs.
Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Beat the egg with brown sugar in a bowl. Add flour mixed with the yeast, add a spoonful of the vanilla extract, add and knead the frangipane to obtain a homogeneous paste, add the almonds. Preferably, let the dough cool down before spreading and cutting the shapes of the cookies using the cookie cutters. Bake for 15 minutes.
You can decorate as you wish, with chocolate icing and colored sugars.
